The European Journal for Biblio/Poetry Therapy, sponsored and edited by the umbrella association of European associations and practitioners engaged in biblio/poetry therapy, is an online, open access, international and interdisciplinary peer-reviewed journal published in a rolling publication system. The journal welcomes original contributions that present new knowledge about the role of language arts and biblio/poetry therapy in education, healthcare, and community building settings.

Papers are welcomed from researchers and practitioners working with language arts and metaphors in the fields of biblio/poetry therapy such as classical bibliotherapy, therapeutic writing modalities, and narrative approaches. Papers from researchers and practitioners who combine biblio/poetry therapy with other expressive arts techniques and modalities are also welcomed. The journal only publishes manuscripts written in English.

Accepted categories of publications are:

  • methodological papers (introducing concrete tasks and outcomes of group and individual biblio/poetry therapy processes and sessions)

  • case studies, brief reports (anonymized)

  • evidence-based research (there is no restriction on research methods)

  • theoretical papers (review and critique of the existing scientific literature and applied models of biblio/poetry therapy, or offering new models and frameworks)

  • historical papers (focusing on national traditions of training, services and institutions of biblio/poetry therapy)

  • book reviews (focusing on new resources, books relevant and available for international readers)
